Strong GCL South Showing at SW Ohio Swimming Classic

The GCL South was well represented at the first day of finals in the annual Southwest Ohio Swimming and Diving Championships held Saturday at St. Xavier’s Keating Natatorium.  St. Xavier freshman Grant House finished second in both the 400 individual medley and 500 freestyle events, while also swimming anchor in the Bombers’ winning 200 free style relay – helping St. Xavier take the early lead in the 31-year prestigious event.

Moeller sophomore Cooper Hodge also had a standout day, winning both the 200 breaststroke and 400 individual medley.  Hodge’s time of 2:01.56 in the 200 breaststroke established a meet record.  The event continues today, with the diving championships taking place this morning at the University of Cincinnati.  Swimming preliminaries are scheduled for this morning, with the remaining finals at 6:30 tonight at Keating Natatorium.
