Moeller senior Chalmer Freuauf and senior Joe Heyob from St. Xavier will both wrestle for state titles in their respective weight classes tonight in the third and final day of competition in the Ohio High School Athletic Association State Wrestling Championships being held at the Jerome Schottenstein Center on The Ohio State University campus in Columbus.  Championship matches in Division I are set to begin at 5:45 p.m.

Freuauf, also a member of the Crusaders’ two-time defending state champion football team, has a chance to defend his state title at 220 pounds after a 6-0 decision over Alex Woicehovich of Macedonia in Saturday’s semifinals.  Freuauf will meet Austin Pfarr of Marysville in the championship round.

Heyob – who is undefeated this season - moved to the 170-pound championship match by winning a 5-0 decision over Tim Knipl of Wadsworth in Saturday’s semis.  Heyob will meet Jess Palser of Mansfield Senior in tonight’s final match.

Moeller – which came in fourth at last year’s state meet - is tied with Oregon Clay for third place in the team standings after two days, with 57 points.  Massillon Perry leads Division I with 163, followed by Marysville at 60.5.  St. Xavier is holding down the No. 11 spot with 30.5.  La Salle, which had three freshmen (Eric Beck, Andrew Sams and Corey Shie) advance to state, is No. 28, with 13.5, and Elder is tied at No. 41, with 8.0.
