St. Xavier, the No. 2 seed in Region 2, and Moeller, the two-time defending state champion, look to continue their postseason quests when the Division I OHSAA state football playoffs resume tonight.  The Bombers (9-2), riding a six-game winning streak, will attempt to knock off Colerain (8-3) for the second time this season in a Region 2 quarterfinal game at 7 p.m. at Hamilton High School.  St. Xavier defeated Colerain, which has won eight games in a row, 31-12, back in week two of the regular season in early September.

Moeller (8-3), which has won two straight, looks to advance to the regional semifinals, when it meets undefeated Pickerington Central (11-0) at 7 p.m. at Welcome Stadium in Dayton.  The Crusaders, which beat Pickerington North, 21-6, to begin the season  at Crew Stadium in Columbus, face a Central program that has been one of Columbus’ top teams all season.  Moeller last played Pickerington Central in the 2011 season opener, posting a 14-0 shutout victory as part of the Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown at UC’s Nippert Stadium.
