La Salle Prepares For State Championship Game

La Salle will look to cap off the best season in its football history with a state championship Friday night, when the Lancers (13-1) play Macedonia Nordonia (14-0) in the Ohio High School Athletic Association Division II state final.  Kickoff is 8 p.m. at Ohio Stadium in Columbus.

The school has a number of activities planned for this week to get Lancer Nation ready for the trek to The Ohio State University and Friday’s state final.  Fans interested in purchasing game tickets can do so this week in the Las Salle High School Spirit Shop.  Cost is $10, and all seats are reserved.

Spirit Shop hours are:

Wednesday – 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Thursday – 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Friday – 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Other activities planned this week include:

Community Bonfire – Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Haubner Field, 3649 Whiteoak Drive.  The event is open to the public, and Lancers football coach Nate Moore is scheduled to speak at 7.  Tickets to the state championship game also will be available on site.

Team Send Off – Friday, with an all-school Mass open to the public beginning at 11:15 a.m., followed immediately by a send-off of the Lancers to Columbus.  If attending Mass, please arrive no earlier than 11 a.m. and enter through the main entrance.  Also, please be prepared to park off campus.  If not attending Mass but wanting to take part in the send-off, fans are asked to assemble in the grassy areas in front of the school on North Bend Road. 

The team will depart immediately following Mass.
