La Salle To Celebrate Championship With Rally Tonight

Just two days removed from winning the school’s first state football championship in record fashion, La Salle High School will celebrate its 2014 season with a rally scheduled for 7 tonight in the La Salle High School gymnasium.  The celebration is open to the public and will feature a talk from Lancers coach Nate Moore, principal Tom Luebbe, athletic director Dan Flynn, and members of the Lancers’ football team.

Doors will open at 6:30, and fans will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with the state championship trophy, and state championship banners also will be available.  The La Salle High School Spirit Shop also is scheduled to be open from 6 to 8 this evening.

La Salle defeated Macedonia Nordonia, 55-20, Friday night at Ohio State in Columbus to win the Division II state final - capping a 14-1 season b scoring the most points in a DII state final in state championship history.  La Salle rolled to five postseason wins, outscoring the opposition, 245-91.
