Both Elder and St. Xavier posted road victories Friday night to remain undefeated on the young season.  Senior guard Brad Miller had a team-high 18 points to lead Elder (2-0) to a 47-33 win at Winton Woods as part of the Mercy Health Tipoff Classic.  In two games, Miller has hit 13 of 18 field goals, including 9 of 14 from three-point range.  Frankie Hofmeyer and Mitch Moorhead each added eight points for the Panthers.

Senior guard Jack Westerfield’s 11 points paced nine players who scored for St. Xavier, which used a stingy defense to record a 49-46 win at Louisville St. Xavier.  The Bombers (3-0) held the Tigers to just 10 of 48 shooting from the field, including 0-for-14 from three-point range.  St. Xavier also had the edge in rebounding, 37-28.  Sophomore Sam Martin had eight points and senior Joe Schroeder added seven for the Bombers.
