Guards Grant Pitman, Trey McBride and Nate Georgeton combined to score 46 points, hitting 18 of 27 field goals, to help Moeller defeat Dayton Chaminade-Julienne, 61-45, Monday afternoon at Moeller High School.  The win was the third straight for Moeller, which leaves for its annual Christmas trip to Florida later this week.  The loss was the first for C-J, which is now 5-1.

Elder is the lone GCL South team in action tonight, as the Panthers (5-0) look to remain perfect on the season when they travel to Princeton (1-4).  Tipoff is 7:30.  Elder defeated Princeton, 79-70, last December at Elder.   Coach Joe Schoenfeld’s team is coming off an impressive victory over previously undefeated Walnut Hills, 64-50, Saturday night at The Pit.  Elder is scheduled to travel to Florida later this week.

Moeller shot 61 percent as a team against C-J, going 25-for-41 from the field.  The Crusaders also took good care of the ball, recording 19 assists while committing only four turnovers.  Georgeton and McBride each had six assists, while McBride also grabbed seven rebounds.  The Crusaders will travel to central Florida to participate in the Battle At The Villages, facing Orlando Oviedo in the first game at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
