Elder Stays Perfect With Big Second Quarter

Junior guard Frankie Hofmeyer scored a team-high 15 points, including three three-pointers, and Elder used a 17-5 advantage in the second quarter to take control and post a 61-43 road victory over Princeton Tuesday night to stay undefeated.  Junior guard Peyton Ramsey added 10 for the Panthers (6-0), who connected on 24 of 46 field goals and had 10 players score against the Vikings.

Elder is one of three GCL South teams traveling to Florida this weekend to participate in tournaments.  Joining Elder in the Sunshine State will be La Salle and Moeller.  La Salle (6-0) will participate in the King of the Sun Invitational, playing four games in five days beginning Friday at Ocala, Fla.  Moeller (4-1) will compete in the Battle At The Villages showcase that is being held in central Florida.

St. Xavier (3-1) hosts Thurgood Marshall Saturday afternoon, and then heads to Indianapolis for the Brebuef Jesuit Tournament next week.
