Senior guard Grant Pitman scored a team-high 16 points, while juniors Nate Georgeton and Trey McBride each added 12 to help Moeller defeat St. John’s Jesuit, 51-49, Sunday night in Toledo.  The Crusaders (7-6) are getting accustomed to playing overtime games, as three of their last five games (including a 42-41 loss at Elder in the GCL South opener Friday) have gone an extra period.

Moeller’s defense held St. John’s Jesuit to just 1-for-18 shooting from three-point range. Pitman was 3 of 4 on his three-pointers, while junior center Sam McCracken led the Crusaders with seven rebounds and Georgeton had six assists. Moeller – ranked No. 9 in The Enquirer’s weekly coaches’ poll, is off until Friday, when the Crusaders host No. 5 La Salle (11-2, 1-0) in a key GCL South matchup at 7:30 p.m.
