Lancers, Moeller Set To Participate In Inaugural King Classic Sunday

La Salle’s non-conference basketball game, originally scheduled for a 7:30 tipoff tonight for the varsity at Walnut Hills, has been postponed because of the Winter Storm Warning issued for the region.  Projections are for heavy snow to begin early evening and continue overnight, with temperatures dropping considerably during the period as well.  No make-up date has been announced for the game.

La Salle and Moeller are both scheduled to play in the inaugural Midwest King Classic Sunday at Middletown High School.  The Lancers are slated to meet Thurgood Marshall at 4:30 p.m., while Moeller is scheduled to oppose Lakota East in a matchup of league leaders in the day’s final game, at 8 p.m.  Moeller is 12-0 overall and 2-0 in the Greater Catholic League South Division, while Lakota East assumed sole possession of first place in the Greater Miami Conference with a win at Mason Friday.  The Thunderhawks are 10-3 overall and 8-1 in the GMC.  Moeller is riding a 32-game winning streak dating back to December 2017.
